“A massage with Erinn truly is pure bliss. Through her skill and sensitive nature, Erinn ensures your needs are met. I’ve always been one for a regular massage but until I came across Erinn I didn’t know what the perfect massage was! I recommend her to everyone I know that is pregnant or has just had a baby, not as an indulgence but to nurture and heal”

“I thought I would provide some feedback. I had an induction massage on the evening of Wednesday 28 April as I was scheduled to be induced on the 29th and wanted to try and go into natural labor if I could.

By the time I got to my hospital appointment at 2pm on Thursday, my contractions had started and were 10 minutes apart meaning I did not need the prostaglandin gel. Whilst they still broke my waters etc the following day, not needing the gel meant I was able to return to the comfort of my own home for the night and go in Friday.

I was excited to have gone into early labor on my own and thoroughly enjoyed the massage, it was great to be pampered prior to the big event and I would highly recommend Qi Rhythm Massage to anyone.”
(PS: I had a little boy, Noah on Friday 30 April)

Hi Melanie,

Just wanted to let you know that Anja gave me an induction massage on Monday 24th May (my due date was the 20th) and I started pre labour Monday night. By Tuesday I was in established early labour and finally Wednesday evening I gave birth to my little girl, with the support of my wonderful midwife Jan Ireland (who had recommended you).

Thank you to Anya for the massage and to yourself for organising it so promptly for me.

I started using Qi Rythm massage when I was 6 months pregnant with my twins.  Erinn is amazing, not only is she really easygoing and a fantastic masseuse, she has a wealth of knowledge about pregnancy and how your body reacts.

Erinn’s anatomical and muscular knowledge is excellent, when I ask her about any physical issue she has enormous expertise and is able to advise what is happening and why it happens.  I previously had pregnancy massages at beauty salons and found that the expertise was lacking and the massage was a waste of time, I walked away feeling that I had wasted my money.

Erinn comes to my home which made it so much easier for me as towards the end of my pregnancy I couldn’t walk very far!!  It also meant that at the end of each massage I could relax and enjoy the moment and not have to worry about driving home in my blissed out state!

I initially had massages once a week but because they were helping me out enormously  I increased them to 2 sessions a week.

I had a normal birth and managed to avoid a cesar which I believe the massage therapy definitely contribited towards in terms of  my overall sense of well being and the strength of my body and my mind.  My girls are now 14 weeks old and I still have post natal massages with Erin which I always look forward to.

As someone who has had recurrent lower back problems on and off for years, I was quite anxious about the potential for significant back issues during pregnancy. Fortunately, I found Mel and the wonderful massages I received from her every month throughout my pregnancy were a major factor in minimizing stiffness and keeping me feeling flexible and strong.
Along the way, I enjoyed chatting to Mel about various aspects of pregnancy and childbirth –her own studies in the area made her a very supportive and knowledgeable sounding board.
After my daughter was born I was keen to keep the massages going, and in the haze of first time parenthood, constant breastfeeding and sleepless nights, Mel’s arrival on the doorstep, complete with comfortable massage bed and soft towels, was always very welcome! Mel has a wonderful massage technique – she is amazingly strong for someone so petite! – and her foot massages were a particular favourite of mine! I have always found her to be professional, reliable and caring and I would definitely recommend her to any woman who is considering massage during pregnancy, childbirth and beyond.’

I had monthly massages during my pregnancy and they really helped me cope with being pregnant, early on I was diagnosed with ante-natal depression and found massage was a great support for me. Erinn is kind, considerate and so easy to talk to, I felt I was getting therapy for my mind and body at the same time..…her hands worked magic on my sore pregnant muscles and always left me feeling relaxed and refreshed!

I am extremely grateful to Erinn for both her physical and mental support and I am still enjoying massages with her, I believe they are now helping me cope with being a mother and all the new challenges that presents!

As an experienced home-birther and Nurse/ Midwife/ Maternal Child Health Nurse I was very interested to learn about the services offered by Qi Rhythm. When my second pregnancy started to approach the 42 week mark, my midwife suggested that I begin to think about naturally inducing labour. I made an appointment with Qi Rhythm for that same afternoon, went into labour later that night and my healthy 4.62kg son was born at home the next morning.

I am happy to recommend the Qi Rhythm induction massage as a natural and pleasurable alternative or adjunct to medical induction.

I rewarded myself with a postnatal massage a week after the birth and thoroughly enjoyed the pampering I received at Kylie’s hands.

I strongly suggest that mothers to be and those who have recently given birth consider what Qi Rhythm can do for them.

Sincerely, Georgia Tucker

Qi Rhythm Massage has played an important role in my life for the last three years. I have had regular massages since my first baby was born and have continued through my second pregnancy and still have a massage once every fortnight post pregnancy. Having a massage really helps me both physically and mentally. With regular exercise comes muscular tension and I find that massage really helps to release this tension whilst also assisting me with relaxation and stress relief.

Being a mum can take its toll on you, with sleep deprivation, muscular aches and pains and juggling work and family life. Regular massages provide a well needed break and “me time”

which in the end helps me to be a better mum. I have sought advice regarding childbirth and other body/health issues and have found Melanie and Kylie to be a wonderful source of information and knowledge. I am looking forward to my next massage and always have my diary blocked out for my one hour of nurturing every fortnight. Enjoy!

Having Melanie Myres involved in the preparation for and births of our children in our home, Sam (2005) and Kate (2007) has been a wonderful experience for all our family.

Mel’s form of massage both relieved the aches and pains of my pregnant body but also worked on the pressure points to encourage our babies to join us in the breathing world. This was a key element in the preparation of my body for the work of healthy natural births. I really looked forward to Mel’s massages and enjoyed the relief they gave me. Mel always took the time to talk to me about how I was feeling, she listened carefully to my thoughts and gave me confidence to trust my body and intuition.

When Mel explained that she also offers a birth support service we jumped at the opportunity to include Mel in our birth team. My husband Daniel told me Mel’s smiling face and warm hug when she arrived at Sam’s birth was the most reassuring and supportive contribution. Her confidence in the birth situation is inspiring. Mel provided both pain relief through massage and mental support with her gentle presence as she brings a calm warmth to a room. Mel’s contribution was professional, dedicated and priceless. We could not have had such wonderful birth experiences without Mel’s support.

Qi Rhythm offers wonderful services during and after your pregnancy. The services are tailored to your needs and are performed by lovely staff with a lot of knowledge and experience in the area. The massages are wonderful. They are offered in your home with specially adapted massage tables (for your big belly) and by staff who are trained in pregnancy massage.

I started having massages when I was about 20 weeks pregnant. I was experiencing pelvic instability, which continued throughout my pregnancy. I had a massage fortnightly and it really helped and supported my back, legs and pelvis. The knowledge, skill and intuition used by Erin benefited me and my baby!
